This page contains the design aspects of my project; starting from the beginning where I sketched rough drafts, links to relevant research I have completed, my first SolidWorks assembly of the wheels, to my finished PDS document and final design proposal document.
I then completed material research which is shown here.
After conducting relevant research for each idea, I had to decide which one to take further as a project. I made this decision with the process called “Pugh’s Matrix”, shown on my decisions page.
After making the decision to choose the remanufactured skateboard wheels, I then had to work up the concept into a more detailed solution to the problem.
