New article published on the Bera blog

Congratulations to Dr Jodi Roffey-Barentsen for her recent article published on the Bera blog entitled ‘To EdD or not to EdD: Why is the Doctor of Education programme becoming increasingly popular among educational professionals?’

Co-written with Iona Burnell from UEL, the article considers why EdD programmes, which they both teach & supervise on, are becoming increasingly popular among education professionals and how they contribute to the field.

Dr Jodi Roffey-Barentsen is a senior lecturer here at the University of Brighton. She is co-lead for learning and teaching and course leader of undergraduate programmes in early childhood education. She contributes to postgraduate programmes and supervises doctoral students. Furthermore, Jodi is a member of the Voice and Participation in Childhood and Education Research and Enterprise Group. Previously, Jodi was involved in education studies and teacher training programmes. Her research focuses on reflective practice, widening participation and employability. Jodi is a senior fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
