Double celebrations for the School of Education at Apprenticeship Awards Ceremony

Huge congratulations to Lis Bundock who has won an award at the Brighton & Hove Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremony 2021, held on 30 June.

The awards from the Sussex Council of Training Providers celebrated the achievements and success stories of apprentices across the city, as well as exceptional contributions from employers and education providers that make apprenticeships and traineeships a success.

Lis won the Tutor/Trainer of the Year award, acknowledging those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to support apprentices during their apprenticeship.

Lis Bundock, programme leader for Teacher Apprenticeship at the University of Brighton, received more than one nomination for her award. One citation said: “Perhaps the greatest testimony towards her dedication and commitment to our success was that every apprentice teacher on our course achieved an Outstanding grading at the end of the year.

“By showing the levels of commitment and desire Lis demonstrated, it gave us all a model on which to base our fledgling careers. Her resolute reliability and genuine love for creating passionate teachers has resonated with us all in a way it is hard to put into words. We all owe her a great deal and have been given a wonderful start in our careers as a direct result of Lis.”
