Celebrating the NSS

The School of Education are thrilled with another successful National Student Survey result.

The NSS is an annual survey aimed at final year students to gather information about their study experiences. It is made up of 27 questions covering teaching on the course, learning opportunities, assessment and feedback, academic support, organisation and management, learning resources, learning community, student voice and student union.

The school’s score for overall satisfaction was 88% – 4% higher than the average all UK universities score. We’re particularly proud of the following course results which are way above average:

  • 100% of students on our Primary Mathematics Education with QTS were satisfied overall with the quality of the course
  • 100% of students on our Primary English Education with QTS were satisfied overall with the quality of the course
  • 100% of students on our Education BA were satisfied overall with the quality of the course
  • 91% of students on our Primary education with QTS (5-11 years) were satisfied overall with the quality of the course

These results demonstrate that we have actively listened and learned from what our students have told us. We will continue to work hard towards maintaining these scores and achieving excellence in all that we do.
