A School of Education online peer-to-peer mentoring project has reached the end of a successful pilot.

The project was set up for students studying on our part-time work-based learning courses to support them through their first year of study. Students in the final year of the same programmes volunteered to provide support using their own knowledge and experience of the course, and being a student at Brighton. They were supported by the school’s Student Support and Guidance Tutors (SSGTs).

Feedback from the pilot was extremely positive gerenating comments such as “Please do it again – my mentor was great!”

The volunteers were each given a certificate and a shopping voucher to thank them for making the pilot such a success. We are hoping to be able to roll out the scheme in the next acdemic year.
