There’s still time to apply for our innovative new Education MA

Our Education MA has recently been revised and updated to further reflect the characteristics of effective professional development. The new MA in Education is a consequence of on-going development work with local practitioners and senior leaders in educational establishments.

Effective CPD
The revised course builds on existing structures to further integrate academic study with work-based learning and research, making this a meaningful and recognised accredited option for continuing professional development. Studying with us, you will develop an in-depth and critical understanding of theory and research and as relevant to your own specific professional needs and context.

Fundamental to the programme is an opportunity to undertake systematic and critical reflection, debate and school-based enquiry in the light of current and emerging policy contexts. The programme builds towards establishing student confidence and understanding which enables engagement and success with a sustained project and thesis.

Why choose our Education MA?

  • excellent knowledge of the local context through our extensive Partnership with schools and other educational settings.
  • tutors are qualified to at least masters level with the majority holding or studying for doctoral qualifications.
  • research and professional expertise and interests are hugely varied across the team and tutors harness their passion and enthusiasm in support of MA students.
