Masters Courses – launching our re-validated MA in Education

We’re delighted to announce that the revalidation of our MA Education courses has nearly completed. Our MA has been redesigned to allow successful study alongside a full time job with teaching taking place in the evening, on Saturdays, but never during the school holidays.

The process has involved lots of consultation with schools and teachers, and we are confident that the resultant modules and programme offer the flexibility and tailor made approach that has been requested.

Further details will be available shortly, but here are the headlines:

Previous Credits Count:

Level 7 credits which have been achieved through previous study can be used on entry to the course. Graduates from many PGCE and some BA programmes carry 40 L7 credits already, and these contribute towards the 180 credits required for the award.

PGCerts contribute to Credits:

PGCerts studied via the University of Brighton such as (LINK TO) Autism, Dyslexia and MaST also carry 60 L7 credits which can be used on entry to the course, and can also be used in combination with those achieved previously.

Flexible Start Dates:

There are a variety of entry dates for the course, with starts possible in September, January and May allowing you to commence the course at a point which suits you.

To register your interest, please email schoolofeducation@brighton.ac.uk with any questions or queries.
