Hello Dome Fan!
These domes have been built as part of Belong at Brighton team building sessions with Year 1 BA Primary Education students.
The domes will be on display until Friday 17/01/2025. After that they will be dismantled and repurposed – they are all scheduled to live a second life!
The purpose was to work together to achieve a shared goal, but also to give students a fun activity they can recreate with their own pupils when they start their teaching careers.
We’ve had a lot of questions, so here’s all the information on how to build one:

To build one dome this size you need:
- 30 sheets of 1200mm x 800mm cardboard (double walled corrugated)
- 50 metres of paper gum tape
- Scissors, sponges, a long ruler, a tub of water
- At least 8 people
