Making the Invisible Visible (Development)

To begin this project I initially decided to look at imagery I saw regularly that I could potentially bring to life. Initially, I thought I could use one of my t-shirts and animate that however, I needed to relate it to my chosen text “The Fat Workie” and I was unsure how to connect the image to the clothing I own.

I then saw a tattoo that my friend had and thought I could animate someone’s tattoo however I had difficulty matching the background colours to skin colours and if I used a blank background you would see the original tattoo underneath. Again this did not have a great deal of connection to the chosen text.

After both of these attempts, I went back to some of the work I had done for the previous project for inspiration and thought I should try to animate one of the characters I had created. From this I attempted to create a walking animation for one of the characters and although not the most successful of all my animations what I took away from this test was the importance of character within the animation.

I found difficulties with animating the characters movements but overall I enjoy the animation although it looks better when looped which I was unfortunately unable to present.
