Analysing of ASOS Email Marketing

The type of emails that ASOS send is offers , new collection and emails of confirmation of the order that we places. If i order something from ASOS i like to open the email directly to make sure from the order and the order number.

They need to improve is to send less email because sometimes i don’t open. It land to the website and show the product , doesn’t say the name like my other emails. The positive thing in their emails is that they keep you up to date with all their offers and is clear and obvious with less reading and more images that will attract the customer more by clicking on the image and will take you to the home page of ASOS.

ASOS design is very unique and simple they choose black background and white characters they use models images to show their product clearly and more attractive for the customers.

ASOS they use “add to cart” as a call to action to make it easier to the customers to  choose their products and review what they have in their basket and use a promo code if they have. They give a discount for students by having a code to apply it. The  company offers more than 75,000 different clothing ranges, including menswear, women’s wear, jewelries, beauty products, footwear, as well as accessories. The process of completing the presentation project gave me more insights into the significance of team work in planning an organising the project. Before then, I was unsure of how to navigate the project tasks and unaware of the goals and benefit of team collaboration. However, my enthusiasm with the project increased as the planning process was instrumental in considering and assigning group roles. Other activities that we undertook during the planning process included selecting the group protocols, short- and long term goals, and considering the individuals who are competent for each group roles. To avoid the group being dominated by a single student or confusion over who will perform what role, we considered assigning or allowing each team member to select a specific role within the group. I was, for instance, assigned the role of developing a presentation on BokShop’s competitive analysis and marketing mix 7Ps. Therefore, our group accomplished its mission because we were effectively organised.

Collaboration and involvement also played an integral role in the successful completion of the project. Out teams’ collaborative efforts included overseeing members’ activities and realign them into their collective goals. The members, for instance, were assigned roles to work independently to attain a collective goal. The collaborative process was carried out in four major stages. The first stage included planning and design, in which team members were required to sit together and discuss the overall goals and reasons for the project (Assbeihat, 2016). The second phase entailed gathering data on the information required to complete the presentations. During this stage, we established trust and good rapport with other team members to facilitate the efficient sharing of ideas required to address complex tasks. As a result, each member negotiated and affirmed their commitment to the tasks that we were assigned to complete.

Team involvement was a major indicator of commitment to accomplishing our overall mission. In particular, involvement increases engagement and enthusiasm in the work as it refers to the psychological attachment that the members of a group feel towards the work (Singh & Gupta, 2015). I believe that the spirit of involvement was primarily influenced by the group per pressure, which propelled us to show up for work. For instance, the desire of not being left behind by colleagues encouraged me to coordinate with them to identify the areas that had not been covered and work on the accordingly. Therefore, many of the benefits that the teamwork had on my tasks were primarily associated with the degree to which I was committed to the organisation and work team.

There are various skills that I learned, which can be of help in my future career world. The assignment has, for example, improved my marketing intelligence and analysis skills. By examining the Bok Shop’s external and internal environment, I have learned how to assess its key competitors and factors that can be taken into consideration to improve its market share and profitability. More importantly, I have gained leadership skills through the teamwork. For instance, I have learned how to independently solve problems that may emerge during work by positively influencing group members.
