On behalf of the GambLGBTQ+ project team, we are delighted to invite you to our Dissemination and Exhibition Event.

GambLGBTQ+ is a study aimed at understanding gambling in LGBTQ+ communities in Great Britain. The project is led by Dr Laetitia Zeeman (co Principal Investigator) and Dr Alex Sawyer (co Principal Investigator), along with Prof Nigel Sherriff and Dr Helen Johnson, with Dr Matt Smith (they/them) as the research fellow supporting the day-to-day running of the project.

You can read more about the GambLGBTQ+ project in our original blog post here.

Date: Wednesday, 16th July 2025

Time: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Location: Edward Street Campus, University of Brighton

You can register for the event here: https://delegate.brighton.ac.uk/GambLGBTQ-plus-exhibition

Please make your booking as early as possible.

Join us as we share the findings from our research into gambling-related harms within LGBTQ+ communities. The event will include presentations, a photo exhibition, and a chance to connect with others working to support LGBTQ+ people affected by gambling harms.

GambLGBTQ+ is a collaboration between researchers at the University of Brighton, Brighton and Hove LGBT Switchboard, and YouGov (the project is funded by GambleAware). Using multiple research methods, we seek to build and expand the evidence-base of gambling and the associated harms for those who are part of LGBTQ+ communities in Great Britain.

If you have any questions about the event, please contact the event organisers: Southcoastevents@brighton.ac.uk or the GambLGBTQ+ project team: LGBTQgambling@brighton.ac.uk.

We look forward to welcoming you then.
