We’re pleased to welcome Tom Carpino to the CTSG as an International Visiting Research Fellow. Tom is a PhD candidate at Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health with his thesis exploring the emergence and epidemiology of Mpox in the US, focusing on lessons learned and how to move forward. Tom will be working with Dr Liam Wignall (Psychology, HSS) on several projects, including the development of the Kink Orientation Scale and validation in diverse samples, the demographics and characteristics of people who engage in fisting behaviours, and to develop workshops and courses for public health programmes. Tom will be visiting in Spring 2025 and will be presenting on his work to the CTSG, alongside delivering teaching on Psychology courses. Please keep an eye out for further details.
