impact of covidThe Centre for Transforming Sexuality and Gender invites you to join us for a presentation and discussion of the recent Switchboard report on the impact of Covid 19 pandemic on the LGBTQ+ community in Brighton and Hove. Jane Woodhull (she/her/hers), Health and Inclusion Coordinator for Brighton-based LGBT charity Switchboard, led on the report and will present key findings followed by Q&A and discussion.

About the speaker:

Jane Woodhull is Health and Inclusion Coordinator for Brighton-based LGBT charity Switchboard where she has recently worked on the Impact of Covid-19 on LGBTQ+ Communities in Brighton and Hove. Jane has recently retired from the NHS where she worked in clinical, leadership and research roles as a nurse for 40 years, predominantly in the field of cancer. She has worked in partnership with service users using a range of methods to successfully improve access, experience and outcomes within cancer care. She is passionate about addressing inequalities which exist for LGBTQ+ people and feels that her recent report has shone a floodlight on the many challenges LGBTQ people are experiencing across all aspects of life and health. She is keen to use these findings to co design solutions and influence change.

Brighton and Hove Switchboard is a charity for LGBTQ people looking for a sense of community, support or information. They connect people and support them directly through specially developed Switchboard services or link them other specialist organisations.
