Professor Curlee Raven Holton

Celebrating Black History Month: Recommended Professor Curlee Raven Holton

Duncan Bullen Deputy Head of School of Art would like to mention Professor Curlee Raven Holton. Curlee has a brilliantly tireless dedication to printmaking as founding Director of the Experimental Printmaking Institute, Lafayette College, Pennsylvania and more recently Raven Editions. In his role as Director, Curlee has importantly given a platform to many significant African American artists, such as Faith Ringgold, Sam Gilliam, Melvin Edwards and Chakaia Booker. As well as printmaking, he has taught African American art history. He also is an important artist in his own right and has had many exhibitions of his paintings, prints and drawings.
