In order to explore the relationship between the digital and the physical, I thought it would be interesting to consider making digital more tangible. Here, I knitted the QR code that links to this blog , I like the way that there are then many different elements to this piece; the knitted object itself, the imagery of the QR code and then this blog itself being held within the piece.
Knitting as a ‘craft’ process feels comfortable and recognisable , which is quite conflicting with the cold ,hard concept of codes and binary. I find it quite interesting that in working out the knitting chart to make this felt quite similar to what I perceive binary to be , working my way along each row in a black and white formula being basically; ‘0011001011101001110000010’.
