These pieces were informed by research into Gestalt theory , I was interested to see that the process of automatic drawing basically ignores all of these structures and after experimenting with automatic techniques on different software’s I edited an ‘automatic spreadsheet’ to reflect this. I like the idea of the starting point having been a very structured spreadsheet, often associated with formal workplace environments.
