Show and Tell: The Image in Research – 29 April to 10 May, Edward Street Gallery

Droplet Sequence: Cristina Boscariol, Dipak Sarker, Cyril Crua, Marco Marengo; abridged from gallery label

Creative Futures will be hosting an exhibition exploring the use and interpretation of images in research processes.  The exhibition, Show and Tell: The Image in Research, will run from 29 April to 10 May on the ground floor of the Edward Street building, and will display research images produced from workshops, laboratories and studios across all areas of the university. There will also be concurrent digital displays at Moulsecoomb, Falmer and Eastbourne.

The exhibition aims to show how images and imagination play a central role in research processes , those that show things which the researcher intends to address, revealing moments of insight which themselves lead to research as well as those that help to transmit the research process or its results with clarity and speed.

This is part of a range of cross-disciplinary events which bring together researchers from across the university to explore the role of creativity and the visual in research.

Creative Methods Research Lab – 6th November

Following the success of our first Creative Futures co-creation workshop in July we are holding a sequence of follow-on workshops, beginning on Tuesday 6th November with a creative methods research lab.

We are looking to select 15-20 people from across the University as both facilitators and participants and would like to encourage anyone who is interested and thinks they might be suitable to apply.
