Mott MacDonald

Mott MacDonald is a group of businesses with a worldwide reach across a range of sectors, centred on management, engineering and development. Formed in 1989 through the merger of Mott, Hay and Anderson, and Sir M MacDonald & Partners. Mott, Hay and Anderson was a transportation engineering consultancy responsible for projects such as the London Underground while Sir M MacDonald & Partners was a water engineering consultancy with projects that included the Aswan Dam. The merger made Mott MacDonald one of the first international engineering, management, and development consultancies.

Board member – Stamatia Kantziari 

Stamatia KantziariStamatia graduated from University of Brighton with a Civil Engineering MEng degree in July 2015. After her graduation, she approached the Women into Construction organisation, which helped her to secure a position as a site engineer with Morgan Sindall at the Crossrail Project. After eight months of valuable site experience gained in Europe’s largest infrastructure project, she joined Trant Engineering and worked as a site engineer for Rampion Offshore Wind Farm in East Sussex for four months. In September 2016, Stamatia start working for AECOM as a Graduate Infrastructure Engineer. Since then, she has been dealing with Drainage and Highways Design for multiple scale projects cross the UK.

She has recently moved to work at Mott MacDonald where she is gaining invaluable experience in a large civil engineering consultancy, and most recently on the HS2 project. Stamatia joined the IAB in 2017.
