Computing at Brighton

University of Brighton computing blog

Your student life

As a Brighton student you will have the opportunity to shape your own learning experience through the new experiences, skills and connections you choose to make. We have provided a few examples here to inspire you.

Student stories

  • Watch our students as they develop their games at one of our Game Jam events, and find out how they impressed their industry mentors.

  • Students and staff from Computer Science for Games and Fashion with Business Studies teamed up to create a fashion show with a twist  at the Graduate Show.
  • Our computing students won prestigious scholarships with global tech company Paxton.
  • Entrepreneurial Software Engineering student Mark won a grant to develop his project providing support and guidance for autistic young people.

Your Students’ Union

There are computing focused student societies in your subject area that you will be able to join, including:

Game Jam Society

Games Society

These are just two of more than 100 student-led societies you can get involved in. Joining a society is a great way to meet like-minded people, make new friends and learn new skills. Visit the SU homepage to find out more.
