The guest at Cartoon County on Monday 28th July is Sharon Browne-Peter, a science communicator who writes comics to spread awareness of Sickle Cell Disease. In The Crisis Saga, she mixes sci-fi and superhero tropes to make blood donation a less intimidating activity for children, and in The Didi Projects, she depicts how life in Nigeria is upended by Sickle Cell Disease for people with inadequate healthcare.
REG co-lead Alex Fitch will be chatting to Sharon about how and why she began using comics to spread awareness of the condition, and her plans for future projects. Go to https://coagcomics.co.uk for lots more info.

Doors open 6.30pm, Q&A at 7.30pm at The Walrus, 10 Ship Street, Brighton BN1 1AD
