PostitiveNegatives, who create visual resources to share information and learning about marginalised groups, are showcasing work at Phoenix Art Space in Brighton throughout May. This includes animation and comics by local artist Daniel Locke, as well as numerous other contributors to their output including graphic novelist Karrie Fransman, Studio Gruff (animation), and Dr Benjamin Worku-Dix.

While their portfolio of work spans many topics and global issues, migration has been a recurring theme. This exhibition presents some of the most powerful projects PositiveNegatives has produced, shining a light on issues such as the Sri Lankan conflict and South to South migration and global inequalities.

The exhibition runs at Phoenix Art Space, 10 – 14 Waterloo Place, Brighton BN2 9NB from 3 May – 18 May 2025, and the gallery is open Wednesday – Sunday, 12.00 – 17.00 … More info on their website.

To hear Fransman and Locke in conversation about the animation and comics they’ve produced for PostiveNegatives, please book a free ticket to Graphic Brighton on Saturday May 3rd from 5pm at University of Brighton CIty Campus

A different version of this exhibition was showcased earlier this year at SOAS in London.
