A collaboration between local comic book artist Daniel Locke, and members of PASTERS is on display at Brighton’s Jubilee Library until Nov 17th. This exhibition showcases seven comics by Locke and a group of academics lead by Ian Scoones (Institute of Developmental Studies), exploring uncertainty in the worlds of economics, finance, pandemics, migration, humanitarian aid, insurance and knowledge.
By adapting research papers first published in a variety of academic journals including Social Anthropology, World Development, and Comparative Migration Studies, Locke and the team hope to bring stories about development and resilience in the Global South to a wider audience,
The exhibition runs until Sunday 17th November at Jubilee Library, Jubilee Street, Brighton, BN1 1GE. The Library is open 10am-5pm Mon-Sat, 11am-5pm on Sundays, with extended opening hours to 7pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
