Uploading the edited images April 24th

I have now started uploading the edited images to the different social media platforms. I have done this based off my previous research. Below are the examples.

I really enjoyed uploading and making promotional content for the social media accounts. Some of it is behind the scenes insights and the shoots, process and making and some of it is showcasinf the finished garments from the final shoot.

Editing Process Friday 21st April

I have now begun the editing process. I am choosing to add the group designed logo to the images to add a sense of brand identity using photoshop.

I am pleased with the outcome and will be editing this logo onto each image to build brand identity and fluidity. I will then send these to the onedrive so Yaz can upload them to the website and I can start to create more Instagram and TikTok content.

Film Developed Thursday 20th April

I got the film photos back today and I am really pleased with them. I sent them into the groupchat for my group to look over and the feedback was positive. I will now begin the editing process so i can upload them to the TikTok and Instagram and Yaz can upload them to the website. Below is an example of some of the images.

Shoot Complete Wednesday 19th April

Today we completed our final shoot. It was a great success and went really well. I decided to shoot with my film camera and film and we all split the costs. Yaz and Eilidh were also shooting on digital so there were three of us taking the images which I hope will work in our favour. Everyone turned up to help out and the garments looked really good. We shot the garments across various locations in wild park and everyone had a creative voice that was listened to when shooting. I am getting the film images developed today and will then send them to my group for feedback.

Posting on the socials April 2nd

I have continued to post the process of making our organisation on the instagram. This involved behind the scenes content posting and pictures of the making process. I have done this based off my research into different organisations instagram accounts and how they conduct them. I have posted quite a few images, videos and stories so far to give a closer relationship between audience and the project. I am also currently setting up a TikTok page – I am waiting to post some behind the scenes content of the final shoot on here.

Narrowing down my research April 1st

I have started to look more closely at different creative directors, stylists, photographers and campaigns that could inspire the final shoot and the social media pages. Here are two examples of some artist research I have conducted.

On the left is stylist and creative director Adam Howe and on the right is a campaign for Marni FW20 by photographer Arnaud Lajeunie. I am really concentrating on doing as much artist research as possible before shooting the final garments so I can truly feel inspired. I am mainly researching outdoor portraits shot in the natural environment, however with a focus still on the garments. This has informed my creative vision massively when thinking about the final shoot.

Final Group Meeting Wednesday 29th

Today we met as a group for the last time. We managed to decide a date and place for the final shoot which has taken a lot of pressure off as it is a set date. I showed the group the moodboards I had created and everyone seemed to be on board with the aesthetic I had created for the final shoot.

Inspiration Research Tuesday 28th March

I have started thinking about what I want the final shoot to look like and how I want to design the visual promotion side of things. I have started making moodboards.

The moodboard on the left is a inspirational photography moodboard to help me to begin to visualize the final shoot. The one on the left is a visual promotion moodboard to help me begin to think about possible graphic design for the instagram and TikTok. I will show these moodboards to the rest of the group when we meet tomorrow.

Finalising Roles 22nd March

At this point in my project we needed to be really clear on the roles of each person. When we met up to work as a group we narrowed this down further. I was given the role of visual promotion and the photography of the final garment. I am really pleased with these two roles as they are my strong point so I will be able to work effectively to perform these tasks. This does mean that I will need to begin to document the process of making and meeting to upload to the social medias for behind the scenes content. I will also need to begin planning the final shoot so I can pitch it to the rest of my group members.

Change of Plan March 15th

After meeting more as a group we decided we wanted to change our aim of our organisation. We were previously thinking about making a sculpture however we have now decided to produce up-cycled garments from festival waste instead. We all agreed on the decision and feel the project now has a clearer steer to it.
