When History Goes Online: Digital Curation of the Exhibition “Frames of Reconstruction”

Dr Andrea Průchová Hrůzová

Friday 17 February 2023, 11-1.00,  Online via Zoom

Please note that this event has now migrated fully online.

We are delighted that Dr Andrea Průchová Hrůzová will be facilitating a workshop that introduces the online exhibition “Frames of Reconstruction” (available in five languages at www.frames-reconstruction.eu). This work forms part of a collaborative inter-institutional and international arts and visual culture project that’s dedicated to the reconstruction of public space after WWII, as captured by the lenses of documentary cinema.

The first part of the workshop provides an insight into all the steps of its creation: production of a research database, development of an operational infrastructure, delivering curatorial decisions, and designing several layers of user experience (the orientation through time, space, themes, living memories and tags). The second part of the workshop focuses on interactive work with the exhibition, where workshop participants can examine gender, decolonization, labour, and national identity.
