Wednesday 16 November 16.00-17.30pm (online)

This collaborative work-in-progress seminar is organised jointly between the Birmingham Centre for Media and Cultural Research and Centre for Memory, Narrative and Histories. The seminar will include short presentations from colleagues at both institutions. It will explore the role of arts practices and methods in relation to questions of time and memory, considering memory as imaginative practice (Keightley and Pickering 2012). Presentations will explore the relationship between memory and images (particularly photography); perceptions and experiences of time and duration; creative, methodological and pedagogical approaches for studying time and memory, as well as collective processes (such as community discussions).
