Week 4

Within this week i made it my priority to focus on the production of the bandana, Taking two shoots one focusing on the bandana as a head scarf mixed with a rock style and the other as my final piece this being the bandana on the back of my Leather waste coat. I spent the day with Isabella styling her and taking her round brighton trying to find particular spots that would link with my project.

I then went on to style the leather waist coat on Alisa and myself. Taking photos in front of bars, alleys and heavily dense streets. this turned out very well in my opinion and i was able to get to where i was envisioning with my project and my final piece.

Week 3

During this week, we were assigned the task to create collaged pages within a book format based on the aspects around our object and then destroy it and add to it. Although at the start i was quite hesitant to the destruction of my pages. I believe in the end it actually turned out quite well.

Week 2

During this week we focused on making flat lays and creating imagery with our objects with the addition of one other object given to us from the tutor.

We were able to explore the city and use back dops and find addition parts of the city to incorporate in our shoots. I personally searched for architecture that had a form of patterning and in particular Indian patterning that was represented on my object. I decided to head towards the pavilion as i believed that this may have been the best place for this in particular. We ended up stumbling upon a gate within the gardens that had patterning and Indian design on it. Building on this i tried the bandana around the holes of the gate to create a cinematic photo in addition with the other object supplied to us. I really enjoyed this exercise as it allowed us to become more creative with our surroundings and use the creativity that Brighton so easily exudes.

Week 1

Image

Within this week we touched on the concept of describing and analysing our objects and finding a way to express it through the mode of collaging. We were told to bounce ideas off of our peers to expand on potential avenues to explore and new ideas we could develop.

We then went onto creating our own mood boards, made primarily out of magazines and other forms of fashionable catalogues. When doing this i experimented with the colour pallet of my object, ensuring to use dark reds, gold and purples accompanied with purples and greens. I did this to build on connection’s and different ways of interpreting my object.

We were then asked to take inspiration from other around the class and view their mood boards.
