It’s a wrap! I had an incredible podcast session with one of my favourite mentors from the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Dispute Resolution, the intelligent and amiable Dr Anita Dorczak. I am grateful to have had this opportunity, and it was a highly productive and enlightening conversation.

We thoroughly analysed how collaborative law has significantly impacted access to justice in Canada. We also explored the future of legal research through podcasting, with a strong focus on Appropriate/Alternative Dispute Resolution, amongst other questions.

Looking forward to the interview with Elizabeth Hill, J.D, CO-OP, on Expert Views on ADR (EVA) Vid / Podcast Show.  She is the Vice Chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Dispute Resolution and the Associate Director at the University of Colorado Boulder Ombuds Office.                        

Before joining CU Boulder, Liz served as Arizona Assistant Attorney General, Assistant Ombudsman for the State of Arizona and Ombudsman for Apollo Education Group. She is a trained mediator and Certified Organizational Ombudsman Practitioner (CO-OP).            

Liz served as the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution Budget Officer and Spring Conference Planning Co-chair, as well as Chair of the International Ombudsman Association (IOA) CO-OP Recertification Committee.

Introduction: The new series ‘ADR Providers / Practitioners’ was borne out of the recent research the blogger/podcaster conducted in Washington, DC, and Las Vegas.

Research Finding: One of the findings of the ‘Vous Parlez #adr’ research indicated the need for ADR Providers to advertise their services online; because most of the masses interviewed on the street of the cities mentioned earlier -revealed that they have never heard about-Appropriate or Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR); and also they do not know where or how to find ADR Providers/practitioners.    

Aim of the Research: Thus, the EVA vid/podcast will feature interviews with a diverse range of ADR providers from across the globe, diligently working to raise awareness about their services and how to access them.

 

Conclusion:

‘ADR Providers’ by the EVA Show is an unparalleled opportunity for those who require such services but are uncertain where to initiate their search; to tune in to the EVA Show to get first-hand information from the various ADR providers from around the world about their services and how best to reach them.
