Goodbye final year students
All of our final year students have now finished their exams and are off to start the next step in their lives. The staff in the chemistry division would like to congratulate them on their hard work and enthusiasm during the time they were with us. I know they are all waiting eagerly for their results now and I am sure they will reflect the effort they have put in. We got some great work out of them in their projects, some of which will be used within journal articles currently being written. It has been a very successful year for our undergraduates.
This year is the first year we have two chemistry degrees graduating. They have often worked alongside each other as well as following their particular chemistry interests.
First up is our very successful BSc(hons)Pharmaceutical & Chemical Sciences course. These students often go on to populate labs in pharmaceutical companies or onto further study doing Masters courses and PhDs. This year will be no exception.
Then we have our first cohort of the BSc(hons) Chemistry course. Numbers were a little light in the final year as many of this first cohort went off on placement this year, we’ll see them again next year when we welcome them back.
Congratulations to all, we have enjoyed helping you develop as scientists and wish you the very best in whatever the future holds for you.
Keep in touch!
