Annebella Pollen is a Professor of Visual and Material Culture at the University of Brighton. Her previous books include The Kindred of the Kibbo Gift: Intellectual Barbarians and Nudism in a Cold Climate: The Visual Culture of Naturists in Mid-20th-Century-Britain. Her new book: More Than A Snapshot: A Visual History of Photo Wallets is No.10 in the Irregular series, exploring unfamiliar corners of art history in the UK. It is out on 11th May.

Yes, the book is based on Annebella Pollen’s personal collection of photo wallets and in the essay in the book she writes about how the collection was built. Annebella has also given some recent interviews about her collection that add further personal perspectives.
