This is two sides of a poster book I created inspired by ‘Human Kind’ and ‘Memory Traces’ And ‘Human Kind’

I created for these poster books, which are actually alternate versions of how I see myself. When I look in the mirror or in photographs, the way I perceive myself is different every time  so I wanted to represent this. It’s confusing and mismatched, it draws the audiences eyes to the whole page at different times.

For the background of these sketches, I used an old book from my bookshelf that I used in year 8. I decided that I have read it so much and it’s been tea stained and has gotten wet with time that It was better to put it to use in another form so I collaged that onto my blank sheets of paper and then was able to sketch over these book pages.

I added lots of typography to represent feelings, as well as being bold and eye catching.

I used collage, felt tip pens, coloured pencils and fine liners. I added patterns and mark making.
