Am I eligible for the Turing Scheme?

The Turing Scheme is open to all University of Brighton students currently enrolled in degree programs or other recognized tertiary level qualifications. It is not exclusive to UK nationals, making it accessible to students from around the globe. It is also open to recent graduates from the University.

How does the Turing Scheme work?

Eligible students can embark on study or work placements abroad lasting between four weeks and 12 months. These placements should align with your academic year and must be completed by 31st August 2024. Additionally, the Turing Scheme can fund independently arranged activities not connected to your course, such as summer jobs overseas. However, keep in mind that the funding cannot be used for activities already funded from other sources.

What can I do with the Turing Scheme funding?

The Turing Scheme opens doors to a variety of placements at organizations worldwide, including universities, charities, and employers. There are no restrictions on the country or territory of your chosen placement, but it’s essential to adhere to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office travel advice.
