Student Volunteering

Student volunteering is a fantastic way to gain real-world experience, build your CV, and develop key employability skills. It’s also a great way to connect with the local community and boost your wellbeing while making a positive impact.

How We Support You

Every year, our Volunteering Team helps hundreds of students discover rewarding and meaningful volunteering roles. From one-off activities like building bird houses with the university’s Sustainability Team, to ongoing, complex roles with essential front-line organisations, we can help you find the right opportunity for you.

What You Can Expect

The Volunteering Team is here to:

  • Help you find the role that’s right for you from over a hundred brilliant local opportunities with our Community Partners
  • Support you throughout the application process and beyond
  • Ensure all roles are safe and supported, with appropriate insurance, Health and Safety, and statutory workplace requirements in place
