Thinking about freelancing but not sure how to get started?

As a student, you could work as a freelance content creator, social media marketer, copywriter, photographer, film maker, graphic designer, illustrator, animator, musician, proof reader, researcher, editor, or tutor – among other roles.  But getting started may seem overwhelming at first!

In this super practical workshop, How to Work as a Freelancer,   Wednesday 15 October from 5:30pm – 7:30pm, on City Campus, we demystify what’s involved and give you some simple tips to help you start up a side hustle or freelance business and begin generating income for yourself.

Our graduate guest speaker will reflect on their own experience of freelancing, and share valuable advice on how to get started and thrive.  Our workshops are friendly and sociable and are a great way to meet your peers and make connections.

Who is this workshop for?

Hosted by the Student Enterprise team, this workshop is for any University of Brighton student or graduate, from any discipline, who would like to become a freelancer – now or in the future.

By the end of this workshop, you will know how to:

  • Market yourself as a freelancer
  • Price your work effectively
  • Manage your wellbeing and productivity
  • Liaise with clients professionally
  • Access further freelance and start up support.

Book your free place HERE, via Careers Connect.  Places are limited…
