What is Student Volunteering Week?
Student Volunteering Week 2024 is a national celebration of student volunteering. Running from Monday 12th Feb to Sunday 18th Feb, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about volunteering, meet some of the amazing organisations you can join, and sign up to Active Student, the University of Brighton’s volunteering team.
Active Student have a huge range of voluntary opportunities to suit all interests and availability, from one-offs like being an Ice Bath Event Volunteer to ongoing roles with charities like the Clocktower Sanctuary, supporting homeless people aged 16-25. We have coaching opportunities, social media opportunities, or if being outside is your thing, we can help! In fact, with over 150 brilliant opportunities, we truly have something for everyone!
Volunteering is a unique way to gain key employability skills and real-world experience for your CV, but it’s also a fantastic chance to meet new friends, try something different and give back to your community- all of which can have a hugely positive impact on your wellbeing.
