Exciting opportunities for our students: Student Research Experience Scheme *application window closed*
Applications have now opened for a hugely exciting opportunity that enables you to receive hands-on research experience on projects covering all disciplines across the University of Brighton – you can apply today.
Thanks to funding provided by Santander Universities and the University’s Enhancing Research Culture Fund, this scheme will provide an opportunity for you to contribute to real research projects alongside academic staff and postgraduate researchers at the University.
As a student, taking part in this scheme should make a significant contribution to your transferable skills and employability. If you are considering a research degree in the future, these opportunities also provide an unrivaled insight into the research environment at the University.

Applying
To apply, please complete this application form for your chosen project by 5pm Tuesday 11 April 2023. You can only participate in one project running as part of this scheme, however, applications can be made for all projects of interest to the student, providing that a separate application is submitted for each opportunity.
Should you require any advice regarding your application prior to its submission, please contact RaKEInitiatives@brighton.ac.uk. Queries about individual projects should be directed to the relevant Project Leads.
The selection
The final selection will be made by a panel led by the Project Lead for the selected project. The panel members will be looking for applicants to communicate effectively how the student research experience scheme will add value to their academic studies, enhance their employability and be of interest to employers and clients, helping them achieve their immediate and longer-term career plans or future plans.
