Healthcare Scientists work across ~50 different specialisms within the NHS, contributing to 80% of clinical diagnoses. Graduates from Health and Sport Science degrees hold a foundation of knowledge which could be applied to a career in Healthcare Science.

Physiological Science includes a variety of specialisms such as: Cardiac, Respiratory, Sleep Science, Vascular, Perfusion, Audiology and Critical care. Scientists working in these specialisms investigate the functioning of organ/body systems to diagnose abnormalities and provide treatment to restore health and quality of life.
