WHAT IS GAP?
GAP is an amazing 1:1 virtual mentoring opportunity matching university students, from less privileged backgrounds, with a Civil Servant mentor from a range of different professions and Government departments

Previous programme mentee
WHEN DOES MENTORING TAKE PLACE?
Mentoring takes place from November to April Applications open September 6th 2022 with mentoring beginning in November.
Mentees will be matched using their interests selected on the application form.
COMMITMENT
GAP should only be considered by students who are able to commit fully to the programme. Students must commit to:
- Invest time to engage; typically one hour a month for 6 months
- Actively participate in the scheme, imparting/receiving advice and considering opportunities to develop
- Complete feedback/evaluation forms to allow us to make improvements to the programme
CRITERIA
Open to 2nd and 3rd-year students who come from a lower socio-economic background An example could be you were eligible for free school meals, you receive a higher bursary or those whose main household earners’ occupation were either routine, semi-routine or manual
