Group of cheer point volunteers with the Macmillan team

Cheer on Brighton’s Marathon Runners!

Volunteering opportunities!!

This year’s Brighton Marathon is taking place on Sunday 10th April, up and down Brighton’s glorious seafront, where 1,000’s of runners will be pushing through the ‘wall’ to raise money for charity.

If you don’t fancy running, how about cheering or helping to rehydrate?

The University of Brighton is promoting several volunteering roles for the day, via two different charities and this can be your chance to take part and give back without having to put your trainers on.

Macmillan Cancer Support:

Join Macmillan as they cheer on their runners at this beautiful race along the seafront or at one of the water stations along the course. By cheering on the runners you can show how grateful Macmillan is for their support and is here for them too, whatever it takes.

Breast Cancer Now:

Breast Cancer Now cheer point volunteers help the Third-Party Events team support their runners at the Brighton Marathon. They pride themselves on having the loudest cheer points and giving their runners a day they won’t forget.

Both are one-off volunteering events, with just a couple of hours commitment from you.
