Are you a student of colour? Don’t miss the Uni:School Mentoring Scheme

Are you a student of colour and left school within the last seven years?

Our project is with local secondary schools where University students of colour connect with students of colour in Years 9, 10 or 11 (aged 13-16) to be role models and provide support and encouragement.

Full training and support on how to be a mentor and role model is provided.

When?

The time commitment is once a week on a Wednesday from 17 November – 15 December.

These sessions are going to be a combination of in-person and online. In-person sessions will be from 1pm-4pm and transport is provided from campus to the schools.

This is a great opportunity to volunteer with young people, enhance your communication skills and be a role model to a young person of colour.
