Brighton Works Week 2021: Thursday 28 October is about Arts and Creative

Brighton Works Week is your chance to meet employers, make connections, and learn how to stand out from the crowd.

You can pick the sessions that interest you from our themed days: Business and Banking, Public Sector, Engineering and Tech, Arts and Creative, and Health.

Thursday 28 October: Arts and Creative

Hear from self-employed artist Julian Vilarrubi on how to start out, make approaches, how to sell yourself and how to earn a living as an artist.

Luke Taylor is the founder of the internationally recognised branding agency UnitedUs. He will talk us through how to break into the industry and what he looks for in a graduate application.

Luke started the agency with a friend just under 10 years ago and it’s now a multi-award-winning agency, based in Brighton with global recognition and clients such as LEGO, Aon and London Irish premier league rugby team.

Virtual Careers Fair

Our Careers Fair, held jointly with the University of Sussex will take place on the 3rd November 2021. It provides a fantastic opportunity for you to meet employers and find out what they do.

During this preparatory session we will guide you through the registration process for Talent Space, the platform we will be using to host the Fair and give you great advice on setting up your profile. Remember employers can also view your profile and can contact you directly to make the most of this opportunity.

We will also cover how you can find out who’s going to be attending, how to research what they do in more depth and what sort of questions you could ask. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get ready for the Virtual Careers Fair!
