Fully Funded 2021 Graduate Internships

These fantastic paid roles are funded by Santander Universities and are for University of Brighton final year students coming up to graduation. Roles are usually local to the Brighton / Sussex / south east area, and are paid at a minimum of £9 per hour. Many of these roles require working remotely. These vacancies are for 2019, 2020, and 2021 graduates only.

Business Development Intern
Ethicul (Brighton)

Are you a graduate looking for a paid summer internship who is passionate about sustainability and creating a more ethical world? Well if you are this role may be just for you.

We are looking for someone to work directly alongside our founders to help us identify more independent businesses to partner up with & support us in increasing our member base.

You will be responsible for reaching out to potential leads (businesses) for Ethicul to partner with. For this, it is ideal that you have confidence & are personable in speaking to people over the phone and in video meetings, as you will often be the face of Ethicul & people’s first point of contact. You will be expected to collaborate with our partners and organise campaigns for social media (for example planning a giveaway or sales promotion)

Marketing & Comms Internship
Axis Stars (nationwide – work remotely)

We are looking for a Marketing & Comms intern. The placement is initially be for three weeks but may well be able to be extended.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Identifying and planning content for our social media channels which will appeal to both our Star members and potential businesses who want to offer their services in the app
  • Research to find useful stories, videos and tools for our Star members which will feature on our StarWall in the app e.g. TedTalks about key topics
  • Support in growing the audience on social media and the number of applications to join the AxisStars community from pro-athletes & entertainers
  • Review of our website and recommendations on the content we should add – you will also get to work with SEO experts on how best to optimise the site and drive more traffic
  • Opportunity to do some Business Development, identifying and recruiting new businesses to the app

Social Media Content Intern
Ambessa Play (national – can work remotely)

Ambessa Play is a social mission start-up building STEM toy kits. For every kit purchased, a displaced child out of school receives one for free. We’re looking for a communications/marketing intern to help with social media and any online events. You’ll be engaging with our community online and building our editorial calendar.

Developing Financial Model In Excel
Venturenomix (Exmouth)

Venturenomix are a niche consultancy that supports social entrepreneurs in securing innovation grant funding from the UK and EU. A key part of their work is developing the project costs and ratios in order to provide the funders the information they need and help the impact entrepreneurs plan their projects.

They have been doing this for 10 years with an excel sheet they put together – now is the time to make it an awesome tool. They would love the help of an excel wizard. You will of course need some experience with excel – perhaps having the ability to develop financial spreadsheets for costing projects, as well as being willing to learn and experiment.
