Kellie, the Volunteer Partnerships Coordinator for Universities, will be hosting a short presentation and Q&A session for anyone interested in finding out more about volunteering with Action Tutoring.
Action Tutoring is an education charity that supports disadvantaged young people to achieve meaningful qualifications in maths and English on leaving primary and secondary school. This enables them to progress in education, employment or training. We partner our brilliant volunteer tutors with school pupils to increase their subject knowledge, whilst building on confidence and study skills. Tutoring takes place for an hour a week, either in-school or online.
Our support is needed more now than ever before, to help make up for the education lost over the pandemic. Disadvantaged pupils have been hit hardest by this crisis and we want to help as many as we can!
