Free Entrepreneurship Start-Up Course

Gain the skills and confidence you need to start your own business this summer

Every June, the Beepurple team hosts a business start-up course aimed at final year students and recent graduates from the University of Brighton. This course, called ‘UltraViolet’, is a fantastic opportunity for students to develop the skills and confidence they need to turn their entrepreneurial ideas into reality.

Due to the current lockdown restrictions, the Beepurple team will be delivering UltraViolet virtually rather than in person. If you are a student or graduate who has an idea for a new product, service or community project, or you are thinking about working as a freelancer in the future; join us the week of 8 June for a range of inspiring talks and practical workshops.

Over the course of four days, you will be able to attend eight workshops delivered by the Beepurple team and local business owners – all designed to develop your entrepreneurial mindset and business skills. During the work, you will learn how to generate and analyse your ideas, discover how to market on a tight budget, and find out how to sell with confidence. You will also learn how to remain legally compliant as a small business owner. Not only that, there will be an opportunity to talk to some of our entrepreneurial graduates who have successfully set up their own businesses or community projects.

Whilst this course is worth £2,500, the beepurple team will be delivering it free of charge for students and graduates from the University of Brighton.

We are excited to announce that all attendees who complete UltraViolet (and who are either graduating in July 2020 or graduated in 2019) will have the opportunity to apply – on a competitive basis – for a start-up grant, thanks to new funding from Santander Universities.
