Arts, heritage and media work experience opportunities through volunteering

Gain arts and heritage related work experience, develop new skills and make a valuable contribution to your local community.

Visit Jody on the Active Student Volunteering Service pop-up stand on Friday 29 November in the Grand Parade café between 1-2.30pm, to find out about the wide range of volunteering opportunities available in the local arts and creative not-for-profit sector. ***We look forward to meeting you!***

Volunteering is a great way to enhance your CV and employability skills whilst at university but it can also help to:

  • Boost your confidence
  • Make new friends, meet like-minded others
  • Improve your wellbeing: volunteering has been shown to be a great way to improve mental health
  • Network: professional contacts for future work and employment
  • link your degree to your practical experience and vice versa
