Kids Design Awards 2019 – for designers and design students
From 19 to 22 September 2019, over 1,200 exhibitors from 50 countries and around 22,500 trade
visitors from all over the world will be attending Kind + Jugend – The Trade Show for Kids’ First
Years. The leading international trade fair for premium baby and toddler products will take place in
the exhibition halls of Kölnmesse.

Aspiring designers and young professionals have up to 17 June 2019 to submit
their designs for the Kids Design Award 2019. The young talent prize awarded by the trade fair
company Kölnmesse celebrates outstanding concepts and visionary designs for children’s products.
The jury will nominate ten designs to be presented as prototypes to an internal audience at
Kind+Jugend from 19th to 22nd of September 2019. Kind+Jug is the leading international trade show
for premium baby and toddler product attracting over 22,000 industry visitors every year.
In addition to an expert jury of eight professionals, numerous renowned manufacturers will also be
supporting each phase of the awards. As product sponsors, they will be helping the young designers to
develop their submitted design entries into market-ready products and facilitating their market launch.
The young designer will also have the chance to make many important industry contacts.
The Kids Design Award will be presented for the sixth time at Kind+Jugend on 19 September 2019 by
Kölnmesse in cooperation with the Association of German Industr Designers (VDID).
The competition is open to all design students and young designers from all over the world who
have graduated within the last five years. Eligible for submission are designs or concepts that have
not yet been produced as market-ready prototypes.
