Volunteer and get your career off to a flying start!

Improve employability, develop skills, make new friends, network and have fun – what’s not to like?

Now is the perfect time to get some volunteering experience before the end of the academic year so why not register with Active Student TODAY!

Some recent volunteering opportunities include:

  • Interested in immersive performance?  Lighthouse are looking for people to assist with their presentation Distorted Constellations during Brighton Festival.  This is a multi-sensory exhibition that uses sound, projections and holograms to immerse the audience in the imagined landscape of the artist’s brain.
  • Passionate about fitness for all?  YMCA would like someone to assist the Lead Instructor/Coach in delivering their programme of chair-based exercise activities to older adults in a variety of settings including care, nursing and retirement homes.
  • Love being outdoors?  Nurture through Nature are looking for allotment volunteers – you never know – you may get the odd bit of free fruit and veg!
  • Social Media savvy?  Magpie Recycling require a social media volunteer to help manage and grow its social platforms and create video content
