Daunted by Psychometric/Online Tests? Come along next week and practice with us.
Employability Fortnight #FocusOnYourFuture is well on its way now with many workshops and events still to come. Have you been asked to complete online tests as part of an application? Have you done them and found them hard or complex? Need some help and opportunity to practice? Well the Careers Service are here to help.
An increasing number of employers are using psychometric / online tests as part of their recruitment process. We appreciate that these can be daunting but you don’t need to be put off my them. However, the only way to be successful with them is the old art of practice. By practicing tests you can increase your success rate by 10%.
If you just googled online tests you could easily end up paying to practice and we are here to let you know you don’t have to.
On our Careers website you will find a link to an online tool you can use as a student or graduate of the University of Brighton. Graduates First allows you to practice lots of different types of tests: verbal, numerical, logical etc.. and it gives you feedback on how you did, why employers use these types of tests and how you could improve.
There isn’t always time to sit and focus on practice we appreciate so next week we’ve booked a room full of computers so you can dedicate an hour or your life to doing some practice with the support of one of our Careers team on hand for any help you need or questions you want answering.
