Brighton graduate Richard kick-starts his bag business

Brighton alumnus and beepurple member Richard Simmonite has launched a crowdfunding campaign to bring his latest product to market.

It’s a 5-in-1 shape-shifting convertible bag called ‘Hybe‘. The innovative carrier is available in five different colour schemes and a choice of 100% cotton or polyester.

Designer Richard says: “We are strong believers that less is more, and that products can and should be beautiful. We find inspiration in life hacks and love products that combine beauty with function, and can be used in many ways. Our philosophy is ‘why use two when one will do?’ So, we decided on designing a lifestyle bag, inspired by the Japanese art of origami, that is both multi-functional yet practical, stylish yet sustainable.”

Take a look at Hybe. If you like what you see, join dozens of others who have supported this University of Brighton graduate and make a pledge.
