Meet Sussex Prisoners Families to find out more about their Volunteering Opportunities

As part of Student Volunteering Week 2017: Spotlight Stand with Sussex Prisoners Families at 11.30am to 1pm on Thursday 23rd February in Checkland Foyer (Falmer campus). Come and chat to Denis Bryne of Sussex Prisoners Families about their work and their two volunteer roles: Prison Visits Hall and Court Support. Just drop-in, no booking necessary.
Other Brighton area activities – some one-off volunteering taster sessions:
Queensdown Woods Big Clean at 10am-2pm on Tuesday 21 February. Queensdown Woods is the local gateway to the South Downs National Park and is home to badgers, bats and sixty different varieties of birds. Students and the local community are volunteering with a Big Clean – litter-picking equipment will be provided as well as a hot lunch.
Brighton Permaculture Spring Clean at 10:30am-3pm on Tuesday 21 February. Get a taste of volunteering with Brighton Permaculture Trust. We’ll be cutting hedges and brambles, clearing up and pruning branches as well as path improvements at Home Farm Orchard in Stanmer Park.
Quiz and conversation with older people at 12:30-5pm on Friday 24 February. Get to know local residents at New Larchwood sheltered accommodation with our quiz and activities with the older people.
