Lewisham Homes employer stand – Moulsecoomb, 11-2pm, Thursday 21st April
Lewisham Homes is looking for Graduate Trainees and will be outside the Aldrich Library on Thursday 21st April between 11.00am and 2pm.
Our mission is to deliver great housing services to thriving neighbourhoods in Lewisham. We are an ambitious and fast growing organisation set up to improve housing in the London borough of Lewisham, managing 18,000 homes on behalf of Lewisham Council. We are a not-for-profit organisation undertaking a major local investment programme, operating our own maintenance company, and building new homes through a partnership with the local authority. In this venture we led the borough’s first council housing development in 30 years.
We are proud of being just one of just 7% elite organisations to be awarded the Investors in People Gold Standard. This recognition demonstrates our high standards in how staff are managed, developed and have opportunities to influence and to be involved.
We’re passionate about our work and delivering excellent customer service. We’re committed to putting residents at the heart of our business.
Our graduate development programme covers one of the following areas:
Housing Management – a 24 month programme focusing on the provision of generic services to residents (e.g. tenancy management, antisocial behaviour service, estates, income, Home Ownership);
Responsive repairs – a 24 month programme which looks at delivering an effective repairs service and further development of the commercial business going forward;
Asset Investment – a 24 month programme covering building surveying in the delivery of the capital programme;
Finance (x2) – a 24 month programme which will focus on operational finance, financial monitoring and performance, audit, risk and compliance;
ICT – a 24 month programme which includes development, support of ICT infrastructure, business applications and ICT Projects.
Lewisham Borough is undergoing its biggest transformation since Victorian times. The area stretches from the River Thames in the north down to Crystal Palace and Beckenham Place parks in the south. It’s one of the most ethnically diverse communities in the country and has something for everyone from bars, restaurants, and cafes, to music, theatre and dance. There’s a great choice of sports facilities on our doorstep as well as award winning parks and open spaces.
We seek talented, ambitious, and dedicated people who share our values and are excited about the opportunity to work in an innovative, challenging, collaborative and customer focused organisation.
